AF Sync access determines which families you can sync and whether shared Projects are available. It does not replace a font's commercial license: the governing agreement for the family controls the fee, scope, and permitted use. For the sample Gaskill Grotesk agreement, the commercial license is a separate one-time $20 purchase for one user.

Commercial use is governed by the commercial license for the family. The sample Gaskill Grotesk agreement grants perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable rights for one user after a one-time $20 fee, and permits finished work such as identity, print, packaging, websites, social, video, and client deliverables. AF Sync access is separate and does not replace that license; the font files cannot be resold or redistributed as standalone software.

Use a shared Project when another person needs working access. You may deliver outlined artwork, flattened assets, print-ready files, and other finished output, but do not pass around the raw font software outside licensed access.

Generally, no. Font licenses typically prohibit redistribution of the font software. AF Sync’s local font manager does not upload, transfer, or distribute your local font files; it is simply one library for viewing and managing fonts already installed on this Mac. Sharing a local file through AF Sync would require uploading it to our servers, which would void the license when redistribution is prohibited. Use the foundry’s approved sharing or licensing path instead.

That is the plan. Affordable Fonts is working toward monthly font releases, with timing announced through AF Sync Messages and Notifications. Release timing may shift while a family is being finished or tested.

Finished work created while your access was valid remains yours to use. Ending access stops future syncing and removes ongoing access after the paid period; it does not undo completed commercial work.

Font access is delivered digitally, so refund requests are reviewed case by case. Contact Support with the account email and details. Billing errors, duplicate charges, and access problems can be reviewed directly; the governing checkout and license terms control where they differ from this plain-language guide.

Open Profile, find Billing & subscription, and choose Cancel subscription. Access continues through the end of the current paid period shown there.

Your Profile shows the device count attached to this AF Sync installation. If you are moving to another Mac or need an old device cleared, contact Support so the account can be reviewed safely.
